Since this is the first Journal for Engl 1012, it’s understandable that my process in writing needs to improve a bit more. After submitting my paper for my research proposal, i feel like my writing process wasn’t the best but it was more than okay. I felt like there’s multiple things i could’ve changed but i’ll feel more confident once i get feedbacks to revise my mistakes. There was some habit i’m used to making in my writing that also made my grades get deducted. One thing that worries me in my paper is having repetition in sentences or being misunderstood, I usually have trouble having to explain myself in writing. Most of the times after using a quote, it’s difficult for my to analyze it and explain myself. I do understand what the quote is saying it’s just explaining why i used it throws me off. Although some things I’m proud about is using MLA correctly, grammar, capitalization, and citation. I believe it one of the easiest steps to accomplish and get some points in this paper. Some goals I’m hoping to accomplish in the research paper is use feedbacks to improving in writing skills, being able to properly explain the meaning of quotes and not keep repeating the same comments. These are the two main focuses i want to improve for my next assignment. Some things that helps improve for myself is having to reread my paper, it’s one of the first idea to try to find mistakes while i was writing. Some small issues that can easily be fixed is my grammar and capitalization, its easy skimming through and rereading just to look for small mistakes.  While some bigger issues that can take a little longer could be confusion on a sentence and having to rewriting what you meant. I feel like maybe having an outline for how to explain a quote afterwards can help me improve.
